Is there any way to know the BIOS version without booting the Motherboard?

I bought a H370 MoBo recently. I would like to know the BIOS version of the MoBo. Is there any way, that I could know the version without booting up this Motherboard?

The original shipped BIOS version is likely on a sticker somewhere on the board near the BIOS chip. At least, it used to be, for AMI BIOS PLCC chips.

For future internet reference, for a retail-box mobo, it's often on the mobo box, in the section describing the features of the board. Sometimes.

Interesting, thanks for the link, although that talks about ways to get the BIOS version, without re-booting into the BIOS to check.

OP, I think, wanted to know the mobo's BIOS revision, before even building the PC, to make sure that the CPU that he wants to install is compatible. That means, that he hasn't booted Windows yet on that rig even.

Yep. H370-I ASUS ROG Strix MoBo has Core i5-9400F compatibility with 1404 BIOS. I was worried that I might be required to buy a lower spec CPU, or from 8th gen, update the BIOS, and then buy, and install the actuall CPU. Now I will just buy 9400F, and then, if I will ever need/want - 9700/9700F/9900/9900F, after upgrading the BIOS.
