Is there any way to install AGP card without AGP port?

Hi, I did something dumb...namely, I bought a card (Radeon LE) before I checked whether or not it would fit.

Do I have to buy a new motherboard to make it work or is there some adapter type thing that I can get cheaply?

Reply here, PM me, or e-mail me...it's all the same...

Thanks for any help

I really doubt it, I haven't heard of any such adapter. I don't think it's technically feasible. Among many other things, the clock speed of agp and pci are very different and even if you could put an agp card into a pci slot, there should be serious problems with the video drivers.

if you tell us what kind of motherboard you have, someone will offer up the answer.

well i heard agp cards fit in pci slots if you ram them in backards and really push hard. That would destroy the mobo though so don't try. Seriousely an agp to pci adapter is not possible(at least not at a reasonable price anyways)

try the sale/trade forum. Someone wanted to buy radeon LE..
Or you can offer it for trade with some good pci video card....
