I can get reception about 1/2 a mile away but not quite at my house. Are there any solutions out there that can help boost the signal somehow?

I know you can get signal repeaters to extend reception into a building, but I don't know what you can do if the closest signal is that far away besides beg and pray for another tower.

you might also try out other carriers....reception can really vary

I wish...my cell reception sux at my house as well...Cingular"More bars, more places" apparently doen't apply to my area...To compound the problem, I have a stucco house, which means the entire house is wrapped in what looks like chicken wire, then covered with cement...Nice grid, too bad I can't make it work FOR me as a massive antenna...

Cingular gives me no bars anywhere on my street.

how about moving? j/k

the wireless repeaters need some signal to work....1/2 mile is too far probably.

what phone? have you tried different models or different providers? ask your neighbors what they have and switch is probably the best way

..I installed a glass mount moble ant.in my front room amd went from 2 bars to full scale.
Don't have to go on the roof to use the cell anymore.
