Is there any way to hide an open application?

I was wondering if there was any way to hiding an open application (in win2k), when minimized...therefore it would not be seen along the Taskbar...

Not certain if this would work in 2k (I run XP), but try this application. After you have it running, right-click on the "X" button at the top right corner of any app and it should disappear.

thanks, i'll give it a try...

What app is it? A lot of them have add-ons for this. For Outlook, there's a program called HideOutlook from r2 that will do the trick. For RaidenFTPd, there's a service agent installer that will do it. 🙂

Perhaps someone has already made an app for your specific app that will do what you need.

a bunch of different apps, admin type (ethereal)...darktubbly's recommendation of TrayIT seems good.
