Is there any way to get my dsl to logon on startup automatically in win2k?

I put a shortcut into startup but it still pops up and asks me to press connect. Anyway for it to do this automatically.

A simple solution to this:

Get DSL without PPPoE.

since you're connecting to a dsl modem using pppoe, try downloading the excellent RASPPPoE protocol at:

http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/

i'm using it right now. it's wonderful, and it was actually made for win2k. you can add it to the scheduled services for running at startup. all the info you need is at the above link.

I completely forgot about scheduled tasks, I usually turn that off every time I install the os.. Good thinking Gazeglow
