Is there any way to get a free ftp site or a directory in one?

A program I'm using has the option to upload an log to an ftp site, and I was wondering can I get a free one? I tried drivehq.com but it's too fancy and I couldn't get it to work.
 
If its only your own program why not just setup a local ftp server and be done with? 100% uptime (at least when the program is running itself), no limits whatsoever and faster..

Otherwise just use one of the dozen free FTPs out there.. google is your friend
