Is there any way to duplicate my mouse and keyboard on the same system?

This is a strange question, but perhaps someone with a bit of knowledge may be able to answer it.

I'm looking for a solution to duplicate my mouse and keyboard, similar to a Y-splitter... but instead of going to two separate systems, I want it to go to 1. Basically, I want the system to see that I have two mice when I only have 1. I don't want a toggle or switch-like function... the mice need to be in sync. Would a simply Y-Splitter into a USB hub work?

Also, I'd need to split it 3 times, for a total of 4 mice.

And to be clear... I don't want multiple cursors... well not in the way you think I mean. The reason I'm looking for this is because I'm running a few virtual machines on my computer and would like the mouse movements to replicate. Each virtual machine can be assigned a hardware keyboard and mouse, but if I do that to my keyboard and mouse, the main system would lose control of both, and the only way to regain control would be to restart the virtual machine.

haha, well I don't really use this forum that much. I just come here whenever I need a computer related question answered because I know this is where all the experts are. So I found out you can't have simultaneous hosts when using USB, so I'm looking for other alternatives... would a conversion to PS/2 work? If all else fails, I guess I could try and go bluetooth becuase I'm pretty sure bluetooth can have simultaneous hosts. I've had experiences at work where someone's BT mouse was controlling my computer haha but I'd rather not go wireless if I could.

I think the main problem with PS/2 is that you're only going to have 1 PS/2 port per system. What you're wanting to do is to send simultaneous input to multiple different hardware devices (as seen by the computer).

Why? I could see maybe if you could set this up for multiple users. I could see this possible under certain conditions, but you can only use one mouse at a time in a one user environment. What would be the point. For instance you could use a wireless mouse keyboard, or an on-screen keyboard. You might be better off asking questions like these in an operating system (OS) forum. If you said what your purpose in doing this that might be helpful.

There is probably another way to do this using a server, or using VM techniques.

Also using th Z68 or Z77 with virtu you might also be able to open up multiple displays at once.

I dont know specifics.
