Is there any way to convert a basket filter coffee maker to use a cone type filter??

Guessing you ended up with a bunch of cone filters on accident?

It's drip coffee not rocket science, see if you can bend/fold the cone filter to hold coffee in the basket and go from there.

Alternatively you can cut the cone filter in half and layer the two halves in the basket to hold the coffee.

I've been down bad on coffee enough that I've straight up used a cheese cloth to filter my coffee, where there is a will there is a way...

I know, right? That would be WAY too easy.

I've used only* Bunn coffeemakers for about 40 years. Their basket filter is thicker than the normal filters. Normal filters just don't work well in a Bunn. You usually have to use two. One to hold the grounds like normal, another one over the top of the grounds to keep the filter from collapsing and filling the pot with grounds.
*I had a cheapo Mr. Coffee coffeemaker in the motorhome. Took FOREVER to make a pot of coffee...like 8-10 minutes! :colbert:
