Is there any way to acquire someone's phone number even though it's "unlisted"

Some punk kid ripped off two people for $1200 on another forum I visit. I have his full name and address. His phone number is unlisted. Is there a way for me to still get the phone number?

Get a number of one of his neighbors and call them. Pretend like it's a wrong number, and ask if they know him..when they say yes ask for his number!

Yes there is. It takes a bit of persistence and some lieing through your teeth, but you can get any information you want from the Operator or 411 that you want.

Have you tried the local PD?
Police report was filed. Detective wants a copy of the signed money order first before he can do anything. It was a Postal Money order and the USPS will not release it until 60 days after it was deposited.

I actually visited the area with two friends of mine because the troll lives in the city of Chicago. I talked to one of the neighbors.. seems like no one knows anyone who lives in the troll's house.

That's too bad, hope you catch the bastard.

Heh, heh, many years ago I worked as a skip tracer for a national finance company and discovered that if you have the balls to put on an act and lie enough you can get just about any information you want from the telcos.
