Is there any way that Happypuppy's vacation can be reduced?

He e-mailed me to say he wasn't trying to provoke the mods and to convey an apology if they felt that way. A month is just pretty harsh for the old guy and I figured that a week might work better if you all feel you must prove a point. Please consider it and don't shoot the messenger.

Really give the guy a chance to be back. What he did/said wasn't done in a malicious way and shouldn't deserve a month's vacation.

Oh where Oh where have my little dog gone ;)
I have to agree with Mill about the month being a bit harsh.

Far less "productive" (if you can use that word WRT OT) members of OT have received far less punishment (if any at all) for far worse offenses. Lack of consistency when it comes to moderator activities is a recurring complaint around here.

Hmmm...the mod tells him "Post anything this gross again and you'll be elsewhere for a month."

What does he do? He posts something that gross again AND insults the mod at the same time!

Oh, but he wasn't trying to provoke anyone and his insults weren't malicious. Right! Somehow when you start out an apology with - sorry that you are so sensitive - it isn't an apology at all.

I think he was just sharing a story, as he likes to do.. a month seems a little harsh.

Just because his humor is above your level doesn't mean the rest of us don't understand him.

Irregardless, he was warned not do so and he chose to ignore our warning, break the rules, pay the price, end of story
