For those of us who don't just leave a CD in the drive all of the time, and play several games that all demand to look at the original CD, there are "Fixed" Exe files for the majority of games out there. I have gotten most of those that I have used at the same site.

This is not a site selling "Cracked" games. You will have to have the CD to perform the install/ uninstall when finished, and you can only get the single file that performs the check from a mirror of theirs. I got my first such because of a POS copy protection scheme named "Safedisk", which interferes with game play, it's so bad.

http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils.shtml

The last time I wanted Game Copy World, I reached it through a link there at CD Medis World; the two are interconnected. At least someone else came up with a direct link to follow before I saw the complaint, but I'd bet that there are still plenty of links back and forth.

GameCopyWorld has the .exe for most games including B&W 2. Simply go into a mirror site, use the index in the upper right, download the appropriate fixed .exe and replace your original. I believe trainers and other aids are also available.

I used this site after spending $50 on FEAR and having safedisk disable my retail game dvd.

I found the exe for "Black and White2"( the file that allows me to play the game without the CD).

But i have some prroblems:

1.In order for me to use that file i had to download a file called "Deamon Tools", from my understanding this program takes thouse exe files and fools the PC into thinking there is actually a disk in one of the removable drives(.eg. DVD "drive").

2.Now this is what happened the game launched fine but "Black and White 2" still crashes whenever i try and do a cirtain task and somthing else happened.

3.Now any and i mean any game i play, there are these numbers in the top right hand corner of the screen, that are always changing but thouse numbers only come there if i am playing a game, not if iam at my desktop doing anything.

Can any one help me here.

play with the cds in.

unless you are a quadrapalegic (sp?) or have no arms/hands (in which case, why the fvck are you trying to play a game?) changing a cd is not that big of a deal.

Any game using Safe Disk is likely to fail anyway, it's so problematic, so I started using the Fixed Exe's with games protected by that crappy item, regardless of whether the gaming PC's CD tray is halfway across the room behind another PC (behind this one I'm using now, to do some forum messaging, which is behind and beside my right shoulder -- I'm not Plastic Man able to stretch that far). Meanwhile, refer to the Original Message, in which the question was stated that it was when the game DID refer to the CD that he had problems, and he wanted it to keep its nose in the Hdd instead.

Guys you are not understanding whats going on.

The only reason i wanted to know if i could play Black and White 2 without the cd was cause when i play the game it always crashes at the same spot.

Do you guys know any think about that.
