Is there any skiing on the East coast right now?

I need to go skiing, can't afford to fly to Colorado or Canada. Is there any place on east coast (preferably between NY and NC) cold enough to ski? I need my skiing fix before I explode :|

LoL ..

I have the urge to go snowboarding~!!!

Why Won't IT SNOW~!!!!

I'm in NJ BTW ..

I might go upto vermont or something~

ok, I'm in my living room with my skiis and full gear on, bobbing side to side. I have skiing blue balls over here :Q Why won't it snow dammit :|

I hear you, some black Diamond action would be good about now !

<< Snow shoe, West Virginia is good so I hear >>

can I get a *confirmed* that there's actually snow there and I can ski???

<< come to T.O here which will take 12 hours and lets go to horse shoe valley or blue mountain 🙂 >>

heck, a place that might actually have a shot at getting some fresh powder ? imagine that

My friend and his entire family are heading up to NY to go skiing today. Im not sure where, but it does have enough snow, plus those fun machines are pumping it out too 🙂

I'd imagine NY is about the furthest south you're going to find snow about now. I live in Rhode Island and there is none, although we only have one ski resort, but that doesn't matter since Maine and Vermont and New Hamshire are all less than a couple hour drive from me. I love new england. Not all the time, just when I feel like skiing, the other 11 months I wish were summer.

If we got some good snow it might be fun to get a NE ATOT ski run organized, don't know how much mogul acton I'm up for but it would be fun to ski with some good folks.

I like

Loon
Wildcat
Sugarbush
Sunday River

Bretton Woods is cool for a group of mixed ability people and beginners, very pretty

guys... they make their own snow... all the ski resorts have lows in teh single digits and teens each night for the last week... thats plenty cold enough, even the ones in NC and VA have at least a few feet of snow for a base. Don't worry, no snow from the sky to ski. 🙂

EDIT: Look here. NE and Mid-Atlantic interior is going to be getting snow each day for the next week. Have no fear, winter weather is here. Too bad I can only snow tube. 😀

yeah man made snow makes it possible but there's nothing finer than a heap of fresh powder covering that granular base we NE folks have come to think of as snow 🙂

Camelback: 4 trails open

Blue Mountain: 7 trails open

You would think that would let you get a cheaper lift ticket but NOOOOOOOO they are actually charging more due to it being a holiday period.
Funk dat. I am just going to wait till more trails open up.

Winterplace in Beckley, WV is open today. I drove by there (Interstate 77 - West Virginia Turnpike) Christmas Eve on my way to the parents hous in KY. Weather is cold enough and they had those cannons going full blast! Its cheaper than Snowshoe, and the slopes are passable for to get your frozen water groove on.
