Of course I know there are many good well-disciplined people in this world but the numbers seem to be decreasing. I've been reading numerous articles on the explosion of prostitution, pornography, drug/alcohol abuse that has been occuring since the liberation of Iraq and it is disheartening. Yes I know they have been repressed for so long but that is not an excuse. They claim religion is such a big part of their lives yet they give in so easily to the evils of society. It seems this world is "heading to hell in a handbasket."
 
It's so far gone it's not even worth fighting for/against anymore.

I find that my drug use has actually gone down since the end of major hostilities. Because, you know, drug money finances terrorism, and I wouldn't want to be part of the problem. Pornography and alcohol abuse levels are pretty constant, though.

It being an "explosion" makes me believe that it was there before, just in underground communities. Now that Saddam is gone, they don't have to hide anymore.
 
You know it's funny that pr0n sites actually have increasing numbers of membership signups and views during the Holidays. Just another indication of the degradation of America's Wholesome Moral Fiber.
 
They have been so repressed for so long let them live a little. I don't think that it is that they are depressed that Sadamn was kicked out so they are turning to drugs to fill the whole that he left in their lives.
 
See my Porn Sucks thread. Participating in something just because it feels good doesn't make it right. People get defensive about things that feel good to them and try to justify doing. "I like to rub myself off every night because it feels good and I can do it in the privacy of my own home and my wife / kids don't care or don't know about it." Kill yourself if that's you.
