Is there any scientific explanation about being in "good drinking shape"

I'm wondering if there is any scientific reason why it seems people can tolerate more alcohol if they drink a lot regularly. Does their liver operate more efficiently, or does the brain react to alcohol less? Any thoughts?

Thanks for rephrasing "good drinking shape" into "tolerance" jack@ss, I already knew that. Anyone have a more insightful comment?

You're not terribly intelligent. You're also an asshole.

There is no such thing as good drinking shape. Its a myth made up by people who are too dumb to know what drug tolerance is or too thickheaded to accept that its real.
Being larger and a male also helps, but anybody can become tolerant to booze with enough use.

I think he is trying to understand how tolerance works. how your body becomes accustomed to handling increasing amounts of alcohol over time.

tolerance maybe your answer is in this article.

Well, you may know about tolerance, but apparently you have none.

Nice of you to post, then step right in, after the first post, calling people names. Sorry, but I'm your real Dad, and I think I dropped you on your head a couple times, while drunk, trying to get in "good drinking shape".

From reading you, so far, you seem like a person who should probably abstain from alcohol altogether.

Some of this is mental as well. When you've been drunk 10,000 times you know how to act (or maybe I should say you know what to expect) under the condition better than someone who is drunk for the first time.
