Is there any reason to get anything faster than PC5300 when I'm not OCing?

Just go with the 'Value' ram that is reccomended by the MB manuf.

Nope. Stick with whatever value ram you can find. Corsair Value Select are good.

Hi,


PC 6400 will give you another 10% in Memory Bandwidth. That will translate to mayve 3% in application performance.


Worth it? Depends on teh price of 5400 vs 6400, but with an E6300 probably not.

I do spec PC 6400 with an E6600 though.
