Is there any reason NOT to use Media Player Classic (Real Alternative) for everything I do?

Music, videos, hell even DVDs, it seems to do just great. Any compelling reason to use Winamp, Power DVD, WMP for anything at all? I've tried them all but MPC seems to do everything great.

MPC can become a nice thin strip itself when playing music. I don't use playlists or media libraries or anything like that. Any other benefits to Winamp's interface?

That's true...makes it good to use with Always On Top, as well.

And if I stick with MPC only, I can't do playlists at all, even if I ever wanted to.

Does FFDshow work with MPC?

With WMP, I can select a bunch of files, hit enter and they queue up in WMP. Any way to do this in MPC without dragging into the program's playlist window?

MPC has a playlist. It's CTRL + 7 to bring it up, I think. Or you can just go into the View menu and show playlist.

I don't use MPC for Quicktime and Real anymore because I ended up with a lot of problems whenever I upgraded Firefox or had to stream a particular video. While it was nice, it just caused more trouble that it was worth for me. Most videos that I watch on my computer are divx so I rarely need QT or Real anyways.

One benefit of using the official Real Player is that it supports the showing of tags when you play text-on-cd audio cd's. i don't know of any other freeware that does this
