I haven't had much success with NetGear. I'd get a D-Link or Linksys switch. That's just my personal preference though.

I'd say scope out a used Dell 2x16 or 2x24 on eBay. They're not bad unmanaged switches and mine have been chugging along for quite a while now without any problems.

Yeah, there's a reason they're that cheap. I've had two Netgears die in the past year due to bad power connectors. One was a 16port and the other a 24port. No more Netgears for me!
