Is there any real job where you can really "work at home" and make money? I always see ads but im guessing their just all kinds of schemes, but are there any real jobs where you can work from home or online?
Not unless you are self employed or tele-commuting and do programming or something else from your computer you can do at home. All the advertised ones are scams.
The 'START EARNING $1,000 A DAY NOW!!!!!' ones (note the capitals and exclamation marks) are about as trustworthy as a Republican with your life savings.
It's mostly a matter of telemarketeering, where you can make $10/day and 1,000 enemies/day on average. If you are really lucky you can even sell the scheme you just bought yourself into to people. Good luck losing all your friends.
I fell for one of those when I was in college. I had to purchase medical software for ~$200 before I can get started doing the data entry stuff on my own time at home (my college apt). Well the software never came and months of long distance calls solved nothing. All I could do was file a complaint with the BBB.
Too good to be true... and never again did I trust those things. I thought being in that kind of field, they'd be trustworthy - but no.
Well I work at home now (after 3 years in an office), for a full-time company for full-time pay. Those who use the catch phrase "work at home and get paid!" should not be trusted, IMO.
rh71 I hate you got scammed with the data entry deal but my friends wife does data entry from home for a local hospital and makes pretty decent money doing it. It's not as "work when you want" as most people think she has to be logged on working most of the day and can only be logged off for like 30-45 minutes a couple of times a day.
The best working from home comes from working for yourself and yes there are many jobs you can do that you don't have to work for someone else they just involve more responsibilities and most people can't handle that.
"Local hospital seeks data entry specialists. Can work at home" I'd trust a tad more than "MAKE MNOEY NOW!!!", especially if the email address of the latter seems to be the same as a certain Nigerian ex-dictator's secretary or banker.
As mentioned probably only if you set it up with your employer. I'm working full time now and go to the office like - never. When I'm not on a project billing to a client my office is my apartment. So I'm getting paid to "work" at home but don't go for any of these scams you hear about.
Or you can do Finance work, swing trading or day trading. But theres a steep learning curve, and major mental control before you can do it professionally. And income can vary depending on the market.
A friends dad does that, and he is pretty well off.
