Is there any program or peripheral that can enable me to copy a streaming windows media (.asf) file?

Just caught some really good live stuff. Only problem is I can't record it so that I can have it for later when the website drops it. Is there any way I can capture a streaming .asf feed? Thanks.

ASF stands for Advance Streaming Format, meaning the contents are meant to be streamed and not to be saved to a hard drive. Try using Sasami's context menu to save them.

yes, there is, i have a thing here called ASF recorder and whilst ive never actually used it, what your asking is precisely the description it had, and is why i downloaded it ' just incase ' i ever came into such a situation, hehe. Its only 370KB, if you give me your addy il send you it via email.

Before everyone goes "me too", head over to Google and search for ASF Recorder. Plenty of download sites out there.

Um, seems youll have to take that advice as well snow, i just had my email returned to me now, 2hrs after i sent it.....
