Is there any point in overclocking this...

I have a 3.06 ghz chip with a Asus p4g8x mobo. Everybody seems to say that this runs a bit too hot anyway and it has too many multipliers. Could somebody tell me how high they've oced this with standard air-cooling?

There's always room for Jello... and overclocking. But do you really need to overclock it? I seriously doubt that processor is holding back anything you do.

ALWAYS a need to overclock. Just to see if you can. hehe Weather you'll use the extra juice or not, isn't the point.

if i had sucker i would keep it stock, atleast i would throughout the course of the summer

I'm just severely tempted because even a moderate increase in FSB has saved me time with Cinemacraft.
