Is There Any Mobo With This Feature?

Has any mobo maker tried putting a video pass through on a mobo. that way I can put to boards in one case, and use software to switch back and forth between outputs on a single monitor.

They could even add a crossover USB to allow peripheral support.

I know there are software solutions that will accomplish this, but what is this not an extra selling function built into the mobo without the software overhead.

A KVM would work, but I don't want to have to touch anything. Maybe a few mouse clicks and no more. I guess what I want is something for a custom show piece computer.

I haven't used KVMs a lot, but the little one I had back in the day was switched by a keyboard shortcut (pressing insert twice and then print screen or something, I don't remember anymore.)

Doesn't get much easier than that.

I just got it for $30 at a corner computer shop, can't imagine that's a rare feature.

ASRock offers HDMI-in on a number of its motherboards. Here's the marketing material on it: http://www.asrock.com/microsite/intel8/

It's intended for displaying images from tablets/phones, but I see no reason it couldn't display an image from another computer, or in the OP's case, another motherboard/CPU.

The ASRock Z97E-ITX board I'm currently building up has the feature.
