Greetings:
My PII 266MHz computer just die and I replace it with a barebone system (ABIT KT7 RAID, TBIRD 800, 512MB RAM, 32MB Hercules 3D Prophet II MX, Mad Dog 5.1 DSP sound card, Intel Pro 10/100 ehternet, IEEE 1394 card. I copy the entire content of the old HD which has Dual boot (WIN 98SE & 2K PRO.) to a new one using Drive Copy 4.0. Unfortunately, Win 98SE is able to boot but refuse to recognize both of my CD-RW (Ricoh) & DVD-ROM (Liteon) even though these are shown in the Bios. Win 2K is booting up to where the white rectangular box (black background) on the bottom reaching all the way to the right then hang e.g stay put, doesn't go any further.
I am wondering if there is a way either to re-install Win2K pro while preserving all the previous setting, email account, etc. In case I need to re-install Win2K pro from scratch. is there any migration software that would be able to move all my previous setting with email account, rules etc to the newly install OS?
Any other suggestion and help would be greatly appreciated.
