Why isn't the industry putting more resources into 3d gaming monitors like the iZ3D?
I once bought a pair of stereoscopic glasses and a few games just blew me away. Battlefield 1942 was absolutely amazing. The 3d was so real i felt like I was going to fall out of my chair and every once in awhile I had to stop and take them off and laugh a bit because the experience was surreal.
Unfortunately most games weren't supported and the majority of those that did work had double vision and made me go cross-eyed.
The truth is if this 22" monitor worked very well in most games I would dump my 24" Dell widescreen for $400 and buy this one for even $700 and just work in windows on a smaller lcd. That's how impressive I fealt this experience was when it worked.
So what gives? Seems like a few companies have been working on these types of technology but never enough to break through. Am I unique in having the desire to dump money into this sort of thing?
