Is there any good FPSs that you can play online?

I primarily play COD2 online and I was wondering if there was a good FPS out there that had good camping sites on it since COD2 really doesn't have good camp sites.

If you want to play as a sniper or machinegunner, Day of Defeat has plenty of places where you can guard flags from.

does RCTW: Enemy Territory have good camping sites? sorry for the double post.

It can, all depends on the server's map rotation. Some maps are more suitable for a few snipers, and some encourage less. But there's always the risk of a stray mortar or Covert Op knifing you from behind.

SoF2 had some good spots.

i think most games today try to eliminate that though.

i agree with ya on CoD2 in a way. you almost have to camp with the way the game is designed, but its next to impossible. one thing i hate is the way the game spawns you. i lost count of how many times it spawned me in front of an enemy or right beside the enemy spawn point.

they might as well take out the sniper rifle and the other rifles.

Counter-Strike: Source, you can camp the hostages if you are a terrorist, or you can camp bomb sites if you are a counter-terrorist.

AWP FTW! 🙂

I haven't played quake in so long, but I remember some great camping Q/Q2/Q3 CTF maps. It was a blast to fight thru the defense to get the flag..
Most BF2 flag bases are out in the open or has multiple entrance/exit. Not very camper friendly.
But BF2 is very good for lame campers who camp spawn points. There are players who don't take flag when they could, instead they guard a fixed spawn point and kill whoever pops up. bad game design imo.
