Is there any freeware that I can use to transform 2 partitions into 1 big without losing data?

Do you know of a program (freeware) that can be used to make 1 partition from 2 separate ones?

Another solution would be to use a program that can resize the partitions then move some data between the partitions, and in the end delete the ?empty? partition (also an acceptable solution, but....I would prefer just to create one big partition because alternative number 2 means a lot of extra work?.so if you know of a free application that will make one single partition from 2, please let me know?

well, partition magic is the best one i know of, but its really expensive. i did a google search and found a few.
