Is there any free server-side anti-spam filter?

Just like the title says. I prefer something for Exchange, however I can front end a sendmail box if need be.

And no, I don't want to just use Outlook's junkmail filter - I want to prevent the spam from even reaching the mailbox in the first place.

Plenty of free options for linux.
type linux spam filter in google.

Windows and free in regards to server stuff is kind of hard to find.

I did notice that Exchange SP2 put in the "Intelligent Mail Filter" - what I believe in the default setup is what Outlook uses to quickly categorize junk mail. The only thing that concerns me about utilizing this to filter before hitting the inbox is that there is no quarantine option... it's either deliver, reject (bounce), archive (send to the global archive mail store) or delete. It would be a good interim solution, but I don't want to ever lose emails without the option to review them at least.
