My sister worked in a supermarket deli for about 6 weeks when she was in college and she said not ONE person purchased head cheese in her time there.

Okay, this thing's going to lock soon, but my vote is for pickled pigs feet. You can find them in just about any convenience store in the South.

Weisswurst comes to mind as one of the worst foods. It is a German white sausage. But it is more liquid than solid. Thus you boil it, open it up, and slurp out the meat contents. What are the contents? Brain, spleen, and lung. I've never tried it, but the idea of slurping brain, spleen, and lung is quite awful.
In many grocery stores in America there is a canned item named "Potted Meat Food Product". That name is so funny to me. Their meat is so bad that they actually have to tell their customers that yes it is indeed a food product. It is basically all the leftovers of the chicken that they cannot sell put into a can.
My local grocery store was just selling a whole cows head in the meat department for $25. It was there until it expired. No idea who would buy that and what they would do with it.

I lived on Potted Meat when I was in college. 4 cans for $1.00. A dozen cans of potted meat and a box of saltines and I could eat for damn near a week for under $5.00. More money for beer that way.
