Is there any doubt that the original nano was the classiest design by a long shot?

Maybe it's not quite that bad, but it just looks awkward and gumby, ellipsoid wtf?

Even now, the original nano just screams class:

That pic doesn't do it justice either, but I'm too lazy to find a better one.

Anyway, the point is that I don't really have a point, but I don't like the new nano, and in fact the only one I ever liked was the first one, and since they don't sell it anymore I'm unlikely to ever buy one, even if I was likely to buy one, which I'm not.

EDIT: I'm not sure what set me off there, maybe the fact the reviewer used the word 'inserted'

as an owner of a 1G nano, I think the 2G (especially the black one) is much better due to the anodized aluminum case. The "fatty" was too oddly shaped (though the screen/video playback is awesome). Haven't seen a 4G up close yet, so it could go either way. I'm glad they went back to tall though, I'm probably going to need one in the next year or so as the 1G is fading.

The first Nano might have looked good but it scratched badly in every day use. You'd have something that looked like it had survived a small war if you left it in your pocket with your car keys for a day. Both the screen and that glossy metal finish on the back.

I liked the lines and shape, but the design materials left a lot to be desired.

I had the first iPod Mini, and just upgraded to the new iPod Nano. I love this thing. It reminds me so much for my mini. I love the aluminum the screen. just WOW!

I actually liked the look of the new nano when I saw it at the store. It looks alienish, but in a cool way. I'm tempted even though I don't really need one.

I actually like the shorter one (have a black one). It seems a lot smaller than the new ones.

I like the previous gen. If only the screen was glass like the latest one it would be perfect.
