is there any difference between these two?

i have a coolermaster case with room only for 1 exhaust fan. i was wondering if one exhaust fan in the back and one on top of the case works as effectively as two in the back?

i think it works as effectively, if not a little better since hot air rises. of couse i don't have any hard evidence to back this up though. 😉 🙂

Yes the top of the case is the most effecient place for an exhaust fan. You could also try using the fan in the back as an intake and the fan in the top as an exhaust to compare temps.
