Not only can you not use a PC card on a MAC, but you cannot use a G5 Card on a G4 slot, which is very, very, very... stupid. This means if you have a G4 with say a GF4 Ti 4600. Then comes a G5 and a GFFX 5900 Ultra. you are out of luck as you can only use GF4s.
