Is there any catch for the "earning $100 - $150 after rebate" for cell phone activation?

Do they try harder than usual not to honor the rebates since they're paying you? I'm guessing they only give these rebates on completely crap hardware. Any experiences?

Nope, other than a 1-2 year contract.

Amazon sometimes has $50 off wireless coupons so if they have one make sure to use that as well.

Not that I have seen. In some cases there is a security deposit to pay as well, though.
