is there any "best build week" for Tbred-B cpu's?

i'm looking at picking up the xp 2100+ w/ the B revision core

so excaliber has 5 different 2100+ Tbred-B versions (0249, 0250, 0252, 0301, 0304) at 4 different prices!!

am i to assume that the highest priced items 0249 & 0250 ($101.99 & $99.99 respectively) are the best performers oc'ing wise and that 0301 is the worst ($96)? or am i reading too much into their pricing scheme?

and then PCNut has got an 0248 cpu . . .

or newegg.com which doesn't specify other than Tbred-B. the picture looks like 0248 or 0249.

i have too many choices!!! help! 😕

Going solely by what I've read, I'd choose in this order: 1)PCNUT 0248 brownie, 2)excaliber 0249 3)newegg oem(good chance of 0302) 4)excaliber 0250 and so on. I've seen nothing referring to the successes with the 0304, so I'm not sure here. Good luck with whatever you choose. Peoples feel free to comment on my choices, maybe collectively we could find the best bet for this guy.

i've seen a spreadsheet of data collected on different chips.... week code and stepping...

seems like the 0302's have the highest average o/c with the lowest voltages... i mean it's possible to hit like 2.6 ghz with the 0248s or 0249s... but they take like 2.0V

i dunno about you but i want to find the highest speed with the lowest voltage possible...

it seems like 0302 is the best...

excaliberpc was offereing 0302's dunno why they took them off... i got one from them before they removed it or sold out...

this thing is humming along at 13 x 180 = 2340 @ 1.775V

sold out! 🙁

i think i'm going to go w/ the 0248 from PCNut. NewEgg, while a TBred-B, is a crapshoot as to the week of prod.

thanks for teasing me with a week that i didn't have listed and probably won't be easy to get!! 😀

I have a AMD 2100 xp revision B oem month 302 from newegg 2 days ago.

Running on my shuttle sn41g2
overclocked it to:
13x150 at 1.55 ~1.58 default stable. running prime 95 all night
temp: 38-39 idle 39-44 full load

I can do 13 (default) x 160 and boot to windows xp runs great but gave an error in prime 95 after 3 minutes need more power but can't addjusted it with my little sn41g2

Great chip.

got 0302 for my cousin's rig last friday, its just sitting here and waiting for the Epox 8RDA+ to get here from mwave😎.

I can give you the store information if you'd like...it's here in Toronto, ON, Canada...they had about 8 more chips in stock, plus a bunch of retail packages that I didn't get to look at. I doubt that's of much use to you tho seeing as it's up here in the great white north 🙂

I'd love to try some better cooling. The thing is, my motherboard maxes out at a 12.5 multiplier, so I guess there's not much point seeing as I'm at a multiplier of 12 right now. There's no way I would cut one of my L3 bridges after the catastrophy I had with my old chip...

<EDIT: I'm sorry for the confusion; my chip is a 1700+. They are $89CDN where I bought mine.>

i have a local place here in calgary selling 0302 JIUHB 1700+ for 90CDN+7%gst+free shipping to my front dooR!
w00t
not as cheap as newegg...but im in canada so newegg is out of the question anyways lol

me thinks me gonna buy one realllll soon haha

just got my order confirmation from PCNut. 0248 "brownie". a little pricier than NewEgg w/ tax & free shipping

<fingers crossed> we'll see if i get a good one!! </fingers crossed>

I just got a green 0249 AIUHB and this chip is an o/c BEAST (although more testing is required). It runs 2.168 GHz stably at 1.65V, and boots over 2.35GHz at 1.75V.

I'm Thinking of getting the PCnut 0248 myself $110 is not too much to me for a good stepping. I have a T-turd @ 1.533 and a 4400ti that I only get 6100 3Dmarks with I guess my bottleneck is my CPU. getting to 2.0 ghz is not an option for me why bother for a measly 500mhz gain???? I wanna see 2.3-2.4ghz for sure and do not mind volting it up a lil. think PC Nut is my best bet to get 2.3ghz????

what is the warranty on the PCnut anyone buy from them>>???

AMD Athlon XP1700+ 1.47GHZ 384K 266 Tbred B (TRAY) (JIUHB:0302)
from excalibur's website.

what do you think about this chip excalibur's #1 seller think I could at least get 2.2ghz or should I think about 2100+ only to get where I want.

with rounding its 2.2...hehehe 😀

think I might pull the trigger finally and get Some of that Kingston HyperX memory from them as well.

what you all think of this choice "2100+ Tbred-B versions (0249)" $101.99 ?

The 49's were good but the 48's were better/best. I think it's a toss-up between 0302 and 0248 for best week. PCNut is about 8 miles away from where I live and I just killed my 1600+ 0213 AGOIA Y, so I'm going to pick up a fresh 0248 brownie on Monday 🙂
