As per my other thread, if i got a 7200rpm 120 or 160gb hard drive..... Is there any benefit to SATA over IDE if i dont plan on getting a second drive anytime in the forseeable future?

Sata is faster if you have multiple drivers. If you have 2 hardrives on the same IDE cable they will transfer to each other slower then if they were on different cables. With SATA there is no sharing this is also why I like pci-e.

There was an review, which I thought was on this page (and not Toms) that did benchmarking of RAID0 SATA as opposed to a single IDE drive. Does anybody remember that one? Or have a link?
