Is there another program besides DVD Shrink that will work to Backup DVDS?

My buddy does not have Nero like he needs in order to backup his DVD's, so do they make another program for him to use? All DVD Shink allows him to do is copy it to his hard drive but not let him burn the DVD itself. Any suggestions?

Once DVD Shrink does its stuff, you simply copy the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to a recordable DVD with whatever software you are using for disk burning and the disk will play just fine in a DVD player. You just have to make sure make sure the DVD content has been shrunk down to fit on to a single layer DVD if you don't have a dual layer burner and DL disks.
