Is there an OEM for the Opteron heatpipe heatsink?

I glanced through the ones at Newegg, I didn't see any that look similar. There's a guy selling them, but he only takes Paypal . . . and I don't have PP. Any web stores where I might pick one up? Or just keep an eye on FS/FT?

There was a website I saw a few days ago that had them for $19 shipped, but it might be the same one you mentioned.

[Edit] Found it (appears to be the same one)

Yeah, that's the one. Looks like I could use a charge card but I don't think that would count as his "verified" sellers. Maybe not, it's been a while since I've used PP.

That has 2 heatpipes; the one the OP is talking about is the 4 heatpipe Opteron heatsink, not the X2 model.

I don't have the numbers or a link, but everything I've seen indicates the 4-pipe one is significantly better.

Is space a problem or something? If not you can avoid all the hassle associated with getting an Opty HSF and just get a Freezer 64 Pro or TR XP90, both of which perform as well if not better.

Yeah, I've got a QPack. :) Thanks for the head's up!

Looking around, I've found that the CNPS7000B will fit in the QPack. How does the Freezer compare to the 7000, and will it fit in the QPack?

Edit - actually, looks like it may be a moot point as I've confirmed that the CPU I'm getting should have the four-heatpipe heatsink in the retail box. :D
