Is there an issue with KT133 motherboards/GeForce MX combos not running 3D Mark 2K?

This is the first time that I've dealt with an AMD/nVidia system so bear with me ok? 🙂

Tonight, I just built a Duron 600/K7T Pro/ASUS GeForce2 MX system for my sister. Everything went fine until I went to play NFS Porsche Unleashed and run 3DMark 2000. In NFS, I'll get tons of diagonal black lines tearing the screen...in 3dMark, it'll load and then return to the Windows desktop.

So, I went and installed Via's latest 4 in 1 drivers (4.25, i think) and installed nVidia's Detonator 2 drivers (5.33). After that, NFS played great but I still get the problem with 3DMark 2000.

Any suggestions?

detonator 3 is 6.18 get it here ->[l]www.reactorcritical.com[/l]
I have a v7100 pure and a asus A7V with duron 650, and NFS-PU runs pretty slowly, but acceptable. 3dmark runs just fine, my score is 4400. Try the 6.18s because they supposedly fix some direct3d issues and performance improvements. Is it only direct3d that chokes? How's the OpenGL? Also you may want to do some bios tweaking. DISABLE fast writes with the 6.18 driver. Good luck, that's a very high quality card you have, it just needs some help in direct3d.... OPENGL on it ROCKS

Haven't tried OpenGL yet...I'm alittle reluctant to try the Detonator 3's since eVga says there's an issue between Via KT133 motherboards and GeForce MX cards...

Plus, I'm not really desperate in getting 3dmark to work...don't want my sister to know that her computer is better than mine P3/Voodoo3. 🙂
