Is there an image file format that doesn't contain resolution information?

I need find an image file with no resolution information for some testing. Does anyone know of one?

How would that be possible? To render the image, you need to know the bit-depth and measurements of the image. Or maybe you mean something else by resolution?

Most images file formats contain resoution information.

e.g.

vertical res: 96 dpi
horizontal res: 96 dpi

I understand there are formats that do not contain resolution information. I need to know what these formats are.

I think what you're actually asking about are vector graphics. Although these still do have width and height, the geometric formulas used to create the display mean the images can be resized without issue.
