I tried to reinstall some older games..Warcraft 2 and Civ 2 and can't get them to run under w2k. Is there an emulator I can use or have I got to do a dual boot with WinME?
Have you installed the compatibility updates for Win2K? They allow emulation of other versions of Windows for individual programs having problems running.
I found the compatibilty version 6 on the microsoft side. Will this allow me to play both warcraft2 and civ2? I couldn't find any info on microsoft or anywhere else that said what games this would help.
WooHoo, seemed to fix civ2. Now I am going to see if I can find something for warcraft2. It appears to work..only their is no sound...and the mouse goes all crazy...it will only work on the top half part of the screen.
Use Warcraft 2's Battle.net Edition. Full Win32 support. I had the same problems as you with the old DOS version. Blizzard sells it directly for something around 10 bucks.
