Is there an easy way?

I have a digital camera but the pics are like 2+ mb each. I need to ship these over the Net at 56k, so is there an easy way to shrink them?

You can use an image management program like Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) to batch process (free and highly recommended for other uses as well)
or
the windows powertoy Image Resizer (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx / http://www.steve.maurer.net/tutorials/XP_tutorials/xp_resize_pics.htm). this integrates with the shell and is nothinig but resizing.

If you are using Windows xp, simply right click the pic and click send to mail recipient and windows will ask you if you want to resize the pics and what size you would like to resize them to.🙂

I always use a photo editor or graphic edior to change the pixels from whatever they are to 800 x 600. That usually puts each picture at less than 100K. As was said above, many new programs will do that automatically. IRFAN is a good one for free. If you don't mind paying, one of the best is Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0.
