I brought a test server home from work. By habit, I configured everything --apps, desktop, etc-- under the Administrator account. The rest of my home computers use a different login ID. I'd like to replicate the Start Menu items, desktop, and other customizations to this new "home" ID.
I added the "home" ID to the test server and made it an administrator. I then tried to copy everything under "Documents and Settings\Administrator" to a temp directory so I could logon as the Home ID and copy it to "Documents and Settings\HomeID. But the copy keeps failing due to locked files.
Is there an easy way to migrate a profile? I see several apps that do it, but they all seem to involve copying the same profile from one computer to another (as opposed to a different profile on the same box). Is there a quick and dirty way?
