Is there an easy way to add TV output to a Laptop?

I really don't want to use a scan converter.

I saw this on eBay.

Anyway, I have a Acer laptop that has a GMA900 video card. Will this work?

Unfortunately, TV output is not standard on most entry level laptops now.

To clarify, I am looking to display to a TV. (ie play emulation or video on the TV)

OK - I guess I misunderstaood your requirement. What you want is either S video or RGB output ports so you can display your laptop on a TV set.

Many laptops can display on external monitors, but TV is different.

Probably the best thing you can get for that is a docking station.

This is not a good display because the resolution of NTSC or PAL TV really sucks compared to what you have on your laptop.
