Is there an app to compress an ISO?

I have an ISO file that won't fit on my DVD-r.. it's 6 GB. Is there a program where you could compress it to its ISO format in a smaller size?

If you compress it, you'll still have to decompress it to burn it. The only solution to make the ISO fit on a disc would be to compress the files and recreate the ISO.
