I want an app that is designed to run down the battery on an iDevice unattended.

Is there an app for that?

Of course, some would say iOS5 does a pretty good job of that, but that is not quite what I am looking for.

It might help us if you provide a little more detail as to what exactly you are trying to accomplish? There is a difference in running down the battery with just a screen on, or using a game or such to run it down as fast as possible, etc.

On occasion, I want to drain the battery as quickly as possible and on command.

In that case, in addition to searching for an app that might help, I suggest turning the brightness all the way up, enabling wifi, bluetooth, gps, and disabling the screen from turning off.
