Is there an alternative to 3D Home Architect?

What do you mean by "complex"? I'm not familiar with 3D Home Architect...but I work for an architect, so perhaps I may be able to help. Are you looking to generate a 3D model, a general floor plan concept, or full-blown construction documents (blueprints)?

At work here we use AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.0, which does all of these, but AutoCAD's learning curve is fairly steep, and is fairly complex (but very open-ended as to what you can create with it). If you're looking for a little more hand-holding, I have heard good things about SoftPlan, but I don't know that you want to spend that much money...

I could probably help you out a little more if you could tell me exactly what you want to use this software for. :)
