Is there a word for the weirdo alarm that we have in our heads?

You know when you are having a conversation with someone about something mundane and all of a sudden they let the crazy slip out. We need a word for this.

Example:
"Hey Bob, looks like it gonna be a hot one today, you still going golfing?"
"Maybe, depends on if I need to run some errands or not."
"Oh, that's cool, well may Jesus' blood anoint you with peace today."
"......uh....thanks."

This same phenomena of course occurs in other areas than religion. Politics, the government, UFO's, conspiracies, weird personal beliefs (i.e. what is represented by someone saying "My wife's place is in the home"), racism, this OP's post (the impetus for this thread), etc...

I know you all know what I mean. Now think!

I believe Freudian slips only apply to sexual connotations.

I thought it was just when you said one thing, but meant your mother.

LOL! I know exactly what the OP is talking about.

There's no word for it IMO...that little bell just goes off in your head.

Suddenly, that normal guy/gal you were just having a pleasant conversation with becomes The Psychotic Enemy that you must escape from.

You say to yourself "Geez! He/She seemed so normal! WTF happened back there?"

It's especially true w/the Jesus freaks. They lure you with their facade of normality. Then suddenly, they start quoting verses from the bible like an inner city teen hyped up on crack and gangsta rap, and vainly attempt to apply those verses to your life/situation/daily news. :Q

There's no descriptor for those persons...but doling out a beatdown with a chair leg usually makes the situation much more tolerable.

More like you say what you mean, but wanted to say something else.

Exactly! So let's come up with a name for the "little bell". There needs to be a name for this.
