no no no! you know how the startbar at the bottom has only so much room for programs before it starts a 2nd page? then you have to access the 2nd page by clicking the tiny little up and down keys?

is there an easier way? i'm not about to sacrifice screen space by making a double tiered startbar.

what resolution do you run at? so long as it's not 800x600, i'm thinking you can spare the space a second tier will cost you.

Your task bar has "pages" or do you mean Task Manager? In that case it's control-tab.

I think he means his start menu, if you turn off personalized menus or something it shouldn't add those arrows for going up and down.

OR you could unistall some of those useless programs ;)

no, i'm talking about the start menu bar at the bottom of the screen. in between the startbutton and the system tray? that area has running programs. and when you have too many open, it starts a 2nd page:(

You have to disable 'group simliar programs' to get rid of the grouping.. but I dont think there is any hot keys that will allow you to move through them any quicker

Just make a 2nd (or even 3rd) row... or try putting the taskbar on the left or right side.

Sometimes I have over 75 programs left open and this is never a problem. Of course I have the screen at work set to 2560x1536 and 2 rows on the taskbar.

If you are using Win2K which doesn't normally group things like XP, ObjectBar will let you change that and helps immensely.
