Is there a Way?

Is there a Way to Disable the little info messages that appear when you position the mouse
pointer on an Icon in the System Tray or Quick Launch? I have tried a number of Registry
Tweaks and TweakUI for XP but none of them seems to work on these.

Do you mean the balloon tips we all love or the normal Alternate Text Tool Tips? ( usually yellow or white on mouse over)

Exit Registry and Reboot

But I tried it on mine and the tool tips still show. I'll try rebooting again and you can try it, too. See if it works for you. 😵

😵....Hmmmm.....
I tried changing the value in the Modify window from Hexadecimal to decimal. Still got tool tips on desktop. Hmm....
I did notice, however, I don't have any alt text tool tips in folders, tho. Wierd. At least Im learning along side you. 🙂
Thats why I love these forums. 🙂
Anyway, I just found a totally different problem I gotta fix real quick with a restore. Back in a bit.

Ya, Im not sure then. I couldn't find anything, either. I know there's prolly sumthin. I just don't know off hand. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. 🙁
