Have your computer screen lockout after 5 mins - like in a screensaver - but not have any screensavers go on.

Sort of like just locking your screen after its idle for 5 mins.

I tried creating a shortcut to lock - which works. And then scheduling this shortcut to go off after 5 mins idle time in windows - but this does not seem to work.

Any ideas?

Use the blank screensaver.

BtW, u dont need a shortcut to lock just use windows + L.

I cant display any screensaver - just the locked screen.

Needed shortcut because i was trying the scheduler route.

^ Would also be interested in a solution to this. Right now I just hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and the Enter everytime I get up from the computer. It's not so bad; it's become a habit. I'd like a backup plan though.
