Is there a way to use SO-DIMMs in desktops?

I know it's kind-of a long shot but are there any adapters available to use SO-DIMM DDR2 in a desktop motherboard?

If there are, it's probably not worth it. I can't see any specialty item being under $20, and desktop DDR2 is $20 per GB and no messing with signal trace lengths.
Just sell the SO-DIMMs and buy what you need.

I remember the "good olde days" when you could get a 72-pin adapter board and plug four 30-pin SIMMs into it. Haven't seen anything like that in a long time, though.

Remember the good old days when AMD, Cyrix and Intel processors all fit the same MB socket?

^ omg several of my first comps were socket 5/7 and i thought it was so cool how they were all inter-operable. ahh, memories...
