Is there a way to type in Chinese for emails?

Yes. If you have a browser that can support the Big5 system. There is also another system they use but I forgot what its called.

njstar works pretty well. they use the pin yin system on your keyboard or on screen to spell out the chinese words. my mum actually has one of those writing pad things, she writes the word, and the software recognizes the word and types it out.
